The Paxton Suite is a fitting location for presentations and workshops, located in The Lodge by the gate to Crystal Palace Park. The suite is ideal for presentations of up to 30 people, fully equipped with a fixed projector and a state of the art white screen to be used during your workshops or meeting. The room has been modelled after a movie theatre and presentations on the big screen are given a notable boost in impact with the quality sound system and crisp colours.
The suite is named after Sir Joseph Paxton who designed the exhibition building for the World Fair of 1851 which was based here in Crystal Palace Park. Paxton was a horticulturalist who’s keen interest in architecture lead to his industrial pursuit in prefabricated glass and iron structuring; this interest was inspired by greenhouses, and paved the way for the legendary Crystal Palace exhibition centre which burned down in 1936.
Due to the suite’s unique triangular shape, it holds up to thirty chairs around one boardroom table, or can be easily altered to accommodate theatre style seating, or a communal circle. Our catering services are also provided on request, alternatively you can bring your own food and drink
