London's Top 7 Corporate Venues

London is one of the world’s foremost host cities - the capital’s many diverse event spaces and its position as a global business leader attract thousands of corporate events to the city every year. Whether it’s a creative brainstorming session or an international conference for 800 people, London is where companies choose to collaborate and cohere through seminars and soirees.

Better Venues specialise in facilitating these crucial high-flying functions. To help you explore the diversity of experiences on offer, here are seven of our favourite venues for corporate events in London.

West Reservoir

Stoke Newington, Hackney

A short walk from one of London’s most in-demand neighbourhoods - Stoke Newington’s Church Street - West Reservoir oozes modern simplicity, art deco character and dream flexibility for event managers. For meetings or lectures, there are projectors, laptops and PA systems available upon booking. The lecture and seminar rooms can each seat between 30 and 50, in bright, comfortable surroundings and with all mod-cons. The impressive space in the central tower is also perfect for evening dinner dance events, with space for up to 130 guests.

Design Museum

Effortlessly cool, and with incredible Thameside views, the Design Museum offers a range of contemporary and flexible spaces barely a stone's throw from the City of London. The 1.5 Gallery is a bespoke, purpose-built venue that can adapt to your needs. The Museum is, of course, primarily an exhibition space, and the first and second floor galleries offer an ever-changing canvas of world-class creativity to enjoy.

York Hall

Bethnal Green

If you’re looking for a medium to large scale conference space that doesn’t sacrifice character for modern utilities, York Hall is perfect for your event. This vintage masterpiece sits at the heart of Bethnal Green, one of London’s most vibrant and creative boroughs - the perfect destination to inspire new ideas and bring like minds together. The main hall can host 800 delegates comfortably, the perfect canvas on which to build an ambitious, industry-leading conference.

The J.P. Morgan Media Centre

Lord’s Cricket Ground

This striking millennial addition to one of London’s most famous sports grounds makes for an unforgettable and picturesque experience. With sweeping views of this historic stadia, it’s the perfect spot for everything from meetings and seminars to extravagant receptions and product launches. The Centre can host up to 100 evening guests, or as many as 50 for lectures and meetings.

Nash Conservatory

Kew Gardens

Entertain your guests in one of London’s most unique and illustrious locations. The Nash Conservatory was originally housed in the grounds of Buckingham Palace, but was moved to the elegant gardens of Kew in 1836. The original floor-to-ceiling windows open up the space to the wonders of the garden beyond, and the lawn is available for sun-kissed drinks - a memorably beautiful spot to swap stories and network with colleagues and clients. This unmatched venue can welcome up to 200 for a standing reception, or 120 for dinner. The garden is also home to a number of other novel event spaces to consider.

Porchester Hall

For a touch of classical glamour, why not consider this Grade II listed art deco masterpiece, situated just minutes from Paddington station and within easy reach of Westminster? Whilst the versatile Duchess of York suite offers a smaller scale space, Porchester Hall is all about the main hall - a grand setting for as many as 450 people, complete with chandeliers and vintage 1920s features aplenty. The Hall has hosted many awards ceremonies and concerts over the years - it’s the ideal venue to impress corporate guests.

28 Portland Place

Amongst the elegant houses and famed institutions of Marylebone, 28 Portland Place is an almost uniquely well-restored example of the Georgian townhouse, within easy reach of Oxford Circus and Regent’s Park stations. With many beautiful suites and rooms to choose for your meeting, Portland Place is a warm and welcoming place to meet clients and seal a deal. Catering is available for dinner events, and there is a quaint outdoor courtyard space for more modest summertime gatherings.
